Going Gardens is a Garden Tourism Consultancy.

Garden Tourism can broadly be defined as visits to, or travel to, gardens, garden festivals and events whether it is for relaxation, inspiration, entertainment or education.

Going Gardens will professionalise and connect individual garden experiences, for the betterment of the triple bottom line (social, economic and environmental impact).

Going Gardens, in collaboration with Canada’s Garden Council, and with the support of garden leaders, is leading an initiative to create the International Garden Tourism Network (IGTN) to impress upon destination marketing organisations the importance of gardens to their marketing mix.


To encourage and professionalise gardens and garden events, in a socially responsible way, in the promotion of their ‘triple bottom line’. To raise standards that will lead to inclusion in the IGTN.
